Looking for Suggestions

I (and NCLC) are soliciting suggestions for possible consideration for services or workshops that might be offered in the seven county region that NCLC covers. An August 18 workshop is scheduled for Grand Marais (at the school) on using Scratch to engage students as well as using Scratch in science and math.I've contacted Minitex about a workshop on using the ELM databases after finding a centrally located facility (Eveleth-Gilbert HS) who agreed to be a host site.Scholarships have again been…See More

Teaching kids to be green is not an easy job. However, take home projects can increase awareness. Perhaps teachers could assign extra credit to kids who will learn how to change their Furnace Filters. Or kids could figure the energy usage for an appliance like a Basement Dehumidifier. New websites and social networks

I mentioned in a comment a couple of weeks ago that I would create a new social network using Ning. I did that. It took about a week to get the layout right, with easy to read background colors and text. Adding content and deciding what goes on the Main page, and what should be local to My Page will be an ongoing process. The initial setup of new groups, forum discussions, and blogs became like an obsession that occupied much of two days.
