I was just wondering when/where everyone else is finding the time to do the 23 Things? I really enjoy it, but some days it is hard to fit it in, so I am doing it from the comforts of my home too ;-) as well as a little bit at Caribou the other day :-)
I have been doing almost all of these things at school because we still have dial up at home. (Yes, we know it's so 20th century, as my 14 year old keeps telling me!). Anyway, I find that the time is easy to justify given how much I am learning to improve my technology instruction with our K to 8 students. We are going to do trading cards for Revolutionary War era figures, we are going to do blogging in another language for our partner school overseas, and we hope to do podcasts to teach certain musical skills. I feel very energized in about equal proportions with confused.

I have been doing all of my work at home for several reasons: I wouldn't have the time at work and would have to stay later than I already do and also our district blocks so many of these sites. I enjoy doing this and learning about these many "things" but I must admit, it does take me a lot of time and other things are suffering. I am nearing the end, and I am glad that I have participated!
I have been doing the Things at work in between projects. It is nice to be able to work on it here because I share ideas right away with other staff instead trying to remember what excatly I had been doing the night before.
I am thrilled to meet someone I know! I am looking forward to being done so I can start over and really figure out what these things are and how to 'play' with them. And of course, I do it from home, as there is no time at work.
It is very hard to find time. Over Easter weekend I was trying to do one thing in the morning and one in the afternoon just to catch up. When I get frustrated because I can't make something work, it is hard for me to go back and try. I finally decided that if I try something and it doesn't work it is OK to admit defeat and move on.
Defeat is my middle name. I plan to retire in 5 months (count them!!!) and then I will be able to work through all the 'things' I did wrong the first time.
I had a hard time doing this as well. It would have been a lot harder if I hadn't decided to upgrade to high speed internet at home because if I hadn't been hooked up at home I never would have finished because the sites were not available through my school.
Like everybody else, I've been doing more than I originally thought I would, from home. I can't get very far on a given Thing without being interrupted at work. Also, there's the problem of not being able to download onto the library's PCs and not having current enough software for some Things. So I usually do my 'exploring' at home on my laptop in my free time (late at night) and then try to blog it at work the next day, while it's still fresh in my mind.
Our employer gave us the ability to do it during the day. THANK YOU for that because if I did not work on it during the day, I am not sure that I would have done it. Life is way to busy.
