23 Things on a Stick

A library learning 2.0 project

What books are you planning to read, buy, or assign over the summer that would fit into a school library? I'm always on the lookout for more good ideas, and I can only read so much on my own. Any suggestions?

The Twilight Series is a must read for School Media Specialists. You gotta read what the kids are reading. The Inkheart trilogy was good too.

I believe summer vacation should be fun. I just want the kids to read and tell them "read what ever you want". I recommend the summer reading program at our public library. Boys like adventure and comics: Anthony Horowitz is an author for young boys. Diary of a Wimpy Kid and yes I even suggest comic books.
Girls- Twilight is a must. "Flipped". "Coke or Pepsi" is a fun interactive book.
" I spy with my Little Eye: Minnesota" is series which I wish to acquire for our childrens collection.
Even I take the summer off and read fun stuff.
