23 Things on a Stick

A library learning 2.0 project

I'm toying with the idea of creating a social network on ning for my teens (I work in a public library) to continue our book club discussions throughout the school year. (Busy schedules -theirs and mine- don't permit a monthly book club meeting throughout the year. Gotta cover the desk, you know).

I love the idea of maintaining momentum and staying connected throughout the year, and I think this would be a great way to incorporate technology into my programming. But, there are a few concerns I have, too -- mainly having to do with liability, and with ensuring that the code of conduct is clear. They're smart computer users, but I would want to make sure we're on the same page as to what's appropriate and what's not.

Anything else I should be thinking about?

I think that these 23 things could definitly be a MLS course for future librarians. There is more than enough to do in the 23 things to fill a whole semester. MLS programs, take note.
